VOLUNTEERING AT COORANBONG COMMUNITY SERVICES CENTRE

Cooranbong Community Services Centre is operated entirely by volunteers who are committed to helping the local Cooranbong community. We have many volunteer opportunities for new members to join our great team covering various tasks in the Centre on Mondays and Wednesdays. Some volunteers work both days, while others serve for one or two mornings per week.

DAY IN THE LIFE OF A VOLUNTEER

Typical volunteer tasks include sorting and pricing clothing and other donations; arranging stock in the various departments; sales to customers; grounds and building maintenance; warehouse support in the furniture department; delivery and pick-up of furniture. But, at its core, volunteering is far more than just sorting, pricing, and selling; it’s about doing good for the sake of the community.

Volunteers work in a very supportive environment. Most of our volunteers are retirees who enjoy the social interaction and opportunity to continue making a contribution to our community. Currently, our oldest volunteer is 100 years old and has been volunteering for over 30 years.

Everyone on our team is passionate about helping others and creating a thriving community.
